Event Description

We are recruiting people who work on youth projects and a few young people for a free residential seminar at Goodenough College in Bloomsbury at the end of November. The seminar has been designed for 20 youth workers and 5 young people (19-30), although this ratio is flexible.

The seminar is funded by the European Commission and our aim is to instruct a dynamic and entrepreneurial group of participants in ways in which they can access European funds to design, develop and deliver local and international youth projects.

This is the link to the project's website http://www.kickstart-live.com/ and below the actual invitation.

I would be grateful if you could distribute this invitation as widely as possible among interested colleagues and youth groups as appropriate.

Please feel free to contact me if you want more detailed information about this seminar or what we do.

  • Are you a youth worker or a young person (19-30) with an interest in designing and delivering youth projects with both a local and international perspective?
  • Can you think of original ideas that combine flair, commitment and social inclusion and want to update or expand your managerial skills to deliver them?
  • Would you like to turn your project into a social enterprise, developing your networks and effectiveness through the media and social media?
  • Or understand what kind of funding opportunities the European Commission offers to someone like you?

If some of the answers to the above are a resounding YES, sign up and join us on a three-day residential and practical seminar (23-25 November) in central London. Two night hotel accommodation will be provided and you will hear and work with experts who will give a fresh, global perspective to originating and running youth projects.

"Hi Mildred. I currently use Awebber for my email campaigns. It's a paid service, but after my research, it seemed to be the best option for me. I also have a mail chimp account, but I have never used it. Awebber was not too difficult to set…"

Using Creative Assessment Tools for Practitioners at Attlee Youth & Community Centre, London E1

April 11, 2013 from 9:30am to 4:30pm
BackgroundOne of the challenges of assessment processes with young people is how to secure their involvement and active participation. Only too often assessment can become something that is ‘done’ to young people (or a form that needs  to be filled in), rather than a dynamic process that puts them at the centre, something theyare involved with and have some ownership over. The assessment tools called ‘CAF Cards’  and ‘Road Sign Cards’ have been developed with young people to work with the…See More
