Event Description

Want to know how social media can benefit your work with young people?

Through our Net Assets project – the Regional Youth Work Unit has been exploring a variety of ways in which social media and emerging digital technologies can support the development of youth work and the empowerment of young people in our region.

We are hosting a half-day seminar on Tuesday 17th July 2012 to share our findings from the project and to give you the opportunity to:

  • Hear from guest speaker Liz Robson- a visiting fellow at Newcastle University
  • Share experiences and best practice in our interactive workshops
  • Network with other youth work practitioners

The event takes place at the Jurys Inn on South Shore Road, Gateshead between 9am – 1.30pm and is free to attend. Tea and coffee will be available on arrival.

How to book:

Spaces are limited so please book early by emailing Alexis Forsyth at: alexis@rywu.org.uk. A full itinerary will be made available closer to the event.
