Every cloud has a silver lining

With sadness, our planned pro-bono project for 2010 has fallen through, but we still want to do something before the year is up. Therefore we’ve decided to open up the offer for anyone to seize this opportunity.

We are looking to deliver a full days training, consisting of beginners, intermediate or advanced courses, consulting time, or whatever you feel you need to explore. For more information about what we provide, please check out our services page.

If you are interested, please answer the following question:

“Why would you like MediaSnackers to work with you…?”

You can either leave a comment below, send us an email to pleaseworkwithus@mediasnackers.com or create a video, audio clip or slideshow to demonstrate your point.

This offer is open to UK based commercial, non-profits, volunteers, charities, educational bodies or a group of interested individuals. The closing date for interested parties must be received by the end of 21st July 2010. Once they are all in, we will pick a winner and let you all know.

That’s it. No catches, you’ve got a week. Please send this blog post out to lots of people you know that would like help with their social media endeavours.

Don't know why but the post above just appeared in my RSS feed which I have for the forum here. That means either the RSS wasn't working properly or the post which was written above on the 14th July didn't go live until today.

Would the administrator confirm forum posts are moderated before going live (as this would then mean it's the latter - if so, then maybe reconsider either allow posts to go live instantly and moderate afterwards or allow others to be involved in an administrative capacity who have more time, because as you can see, the opportunity above I'm sure would've been a great offer to many people using the forum)?

If these forum posts are not moderated then would the administrator please open up a help ticket with the ning guys to check out the RSS feed - there is an obvious issue with it?

Cheers :-)
Hey DK.

Only photos and videos are pre-moderated on this network - so it would be an issue with the RSS feeds. Your post definitely went up in July.

Ning 'upgraded' their RSS feeds in the last few days - and I suspect broke the IDs which prevent things turning up as duplicates - but if you notice any more problems with the feeds do let me know and I'll get onto it.

Hope all is well with you.

All the best

Tim
Appreciate the response and clarification - pesky ning upgrades ;-)

Peace

Using Creative Assessment Tools for Practitioners at Attlee Youth & Community Centre, London E1

April 11, 2013 from 9:30am to 4:30pm
BackgroundOne of the challenges of assessment processes with young people is how to secure their involvement and active participation. Only too often assessment can become something that is ‘done’ to young people (or a form that needs  to be filled in), rather than a dynamic process that puts them at the centre, something theyare involved with and have some ownership over. The assessment tools called ‘CAF Cards’  and ‘Road Sign Cards’ have been developed with young people to work with the…See More
