The call for papers has just gone out for the International Conference on Youth Work and Youth Studies which is taking place in Strathcylde at the end of August 2012.
The conference this year is focussing on " Positivity in Youth Work and Youth studies: a celebration of youth work and young people" and they are inviting people to either submit 300 word abstracts for papers on the topic, or to put forward proposals for a symposium of four papers/presentations on a shared topic.
You can read the full conference flyer and call for papers here.
How about we try and put together a symposium on 'Digital Youth Work' - exploring how young people are using digital technologies to expand their horizons and make a difference to their lives?
The conference is particularly interested in International Perspectives - so it could also be a good opportunity to share learning about digital youth work in different countries and contexts.
If you might have some research to present, or wanted to put together a paper/presentation for this, drop in a comment below. This could be great opportunity for members of this group who have been working on research projects to share those more widely, and maybe get the write-ups included in a journal too.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to attend the conference myself - so if there was someone interested in being convenor for the symposium that would be fantastic too :)
