Brief bio: tell us a few facts about you & your interest in digital aspects of work with young people
abs is a freelance interactive media and heritage consultant with a background in charities and museums. She studied Egyptian Archaeology at UCL and worked at the British Museum for 7 years so can tell you where all the best bars in Bloomsbury are. Recent projects include Write Queer London, a writing festival with supporting season of events running in Museums and Archives across London; Traders Unpacked, which she digitally promoted for the National Maritime Museum and event management for the College of Medicine – an alliance of Healthcare professionals and Patients working together for a better NHS. Babs also edits the history website Untold London. She is trying to recruit young people for the free seminar Kickstart (www.kickstart-live.com) running later this year.
