FREE Youth Work Training

Hello I hope all is well in your world. I had the crazy idea of giving away some of best training for FREE. Lets just say it was a combination of being frustrated with "selling" courses in a slow, rubbishy, small scale, a bit of fear about the looming horribleness of the cuts to youth support services, and a desire for us join together and support one another. This is my contribution, a contribution which I hope will inspire you to do the same, sing your song, shine your light in a way only you…See More

Brief bio: tell us a few facts about you & your interest in digital aspects of work with young people
I'm passionate about making youth support services more accessible, relevant and useful. Me thinks digital and social media will play a big role in this.

Years ago I designed, developed and delivered digital arts community projects which trained young people labelled "hard to reach" to engage, train, mentor and coach their peers.

I then co-founded the Youth Coaching Academy- Life Coaching for and by young people in 2001.

Nowadays, I train and coach youth workers and teachers to be even more effective. With a strong emphasis on practical, easy to understand strategies of success. I also pretend to be a very intelligent consultant for a variety of organisations.

I would love to add value to what you do. Please get in touch and we can see how we can create a win win.

Using Creative Assessment Tools for Practitioners at Attlee Youth & Community Centre, London E1

April 11, 2013 from 9:30am to 4:30pm
BackgroundOne of the challenges of assessment processes with young people is how to secure their involvement and active participation. Only too often assessment can become something that is ‘done’ to young people (or a form that needs  to be filled in), rather than a dynamic process that puts them at the centre, something theyare involved with and have some ownership over. The assessment tools called ‘CAF Cards’  and ‘Road Sign Cards’ have been developed with young people to work with the…See More
