Exploring youth engagement in a digital age
Just spotted this post on Helen Reynolds blog about using Facebook for communicating with young people.
It's an example from Monmouthshire, where Youthworker Dan Davies is engaging with over 500 young people through Facebook.
Comment by Stephanie Weller on April 4, 2012 at 15:13 Thanks for sharing this I will certainly use some of these tips. We currently have over 5,000 fans on our facebook page in Hertfordshire (http://www.facebook.com/channelmogo) but want to increase participaton and ownership in the page rather than simply use it as one way traffic to 'push messages out to young people', any other tips welcome...
Comment by Joe Roberson on April 6, 2012 at 20:34 Monmouthshire are fast becoming my favourite local government.... legends!
Excellent read with very useful tips - I'll certainly be following it closely as I take hold of the reins of the Salmon Youth Centre Facebook page; thanks for sharing.
