We are recruiting an education manager: exiting job with young people and mobile apps

Join one of the most successful social enterprises in digital inclusion to create and set-up a new exciting training programme to enable young people in low-income communities to use, design and develop mobile and web-based applications for social change and community action.

Founded in 1995 by Rodrigo Baggio, the Centre for Digital Inclusion (CDI) is the pioneer of digital inclusion in the developing world with a focus on entrepreneurship and community action. Today CDI runs a global network of 753 CDI Communities in 13 countries with over 2,000 educators and coordinators. CDI teaches IT and project management skills to people in low-income communities. During 4-6 month courses students increase their self-motivation, gain new perspectives in life and learn transferable skills that allow them to get better jobs, to start their own micro-enterprises and to improve the reality of their communities

In the UK we are now developing a new curriculum that takes advantage of the multimedia and geo-location capabilities of smartphones. Therefore, we are looking for an education manager to make this exciting project happen.
